The sad news that David Bowie had passed away at the age of 69 was reported this morning after an 18 month battle with cancer. His latest and last album, Blackstar, was released on Friday which was also David's 69th birthday. David Bowie was one of the few artists that over a long and distinguished career had "multiple personalities" and released music that he wanted everyone to hear whether it be the early 70's psychedelic, the Ziggy Stardust period, the Berlin years, the 80's pop, Tin Machine or '90's industrial. He also worked with Iggy Pop, wrote Mott the Hoople's greatest hit "All The Young Dudes and co-wrote one of Queen's most popular songs and sang with Freddie Mercury on "Under Pressure". David Bowie was an extraordinary talents. He will be missed.
I will review Blackstar at a later date.
