This 4-song EP was ZZ Top's first release in nine years since 2003's release of Mescalero and is the first four songs of La Futura which would be released later in 2012. It is comprised of three deep-blues tunes "Gotsta Get Paid", "Charteuse", and "Consumption", as well as, a ballad 'Over You". Texicali continues the "Texas blues" style of stripped down guitar, bass and drums which is what the band built upon in the 1970's and early 1980's and is a stark contrast to the mid-1980's songs which made them a M
